TURNING A PANDEMIC INTO HOPEFUL PREDICTIONS OF OUR NEW NORMAL
Even the most disruptive events can bring about positive change if only one takes a closer look. This project illustrates some of these changes by turning the COVID-19 curve into its more positive outcomes. Let's never stop looking for the silver lining.
I'm optimistic by nature. Scientists say it may be genetic. I don't know but I always see the world half full and try to look on the bright side of life. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I couldn't help but read, observe, and fantasize about what kind of world we'd find on the other side.
This project uses the well-known curve and transforms it into those predictions. I came up with a few and then had some help from illustrators to bring my sketches to life along with some other data-driven predictions from experts. The result lives on Instagram (@beyond_the_curve) and here:
